Jason Heyward was traded to the Cardinals last off-season after spending the first five seasons of his career with the Braves, but it seems one year in St. Louis is all it took for the self-proclaimed “best fans in baseball” to grow quite attached to him.

On Friday the free-agent Heyward signed with the Cardinals longtime rivals the Cubs, who also ended the Cardinals playoff run in the NLDS this October. Cardinals fans are very, very upset at the outfielder and are wishing ill towards him, his new team and his ACLs.

With supporters like these, it seems unlikely St. Louis will be getting the heartfelt goodbye Heyward gave Atlanta.
