After a short performance from Bruno Mars, Beyoncé appeared on the field behind a row of drummers. The world famous pop star was wearing a black top with gold chains and began singing her new hit “Formation.”

Then, Mars and Beyoncé engaged in an epic dance-off before giving way to Coldplay and a video tribute of past halftime shows.

The Broncos led the Panthers 13–7 at halftime.
