Watch: Jalen Rose roasts ex-Knicks coach Derek Fisher
During a segment on Mike & Mike Tuesday morning, ESPN analyst Jalen Rose made a quip about former Knicks coach Derek Fisher’s romantic life.
Fisher was at the center of an altercation with Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes this past off-season after he visited the house of Barnes’ estranged wife Gloria Govan. Many have joked about the incident, considering Barnes reportedly drove 95 miles to beat up Fisher. On his new album The Life of Pablo, Kanye West dropped a line that he was “about to drive 90 miles like Matt Barnes” to beat someone up.

Rose got in a one-liner on Tuesday, mentioning that he was in New York for Valentine’s Day in fear of Fisher.
“I heard a rumor,” Rose joked. “If you don’t spend time with your valentine, Derek Fisher will.”
Barnes was suspended two games for the incident, while Fisher was eventually fired by the Knicks. While it wasn’t the main factor in his firing, reports indicated that it was the beginning of the end.
In a story on Friday, The New York Daily News revealed that the incident caused former Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. to ask his girlfriend if she’d been romantically involved with Fisher.
