Spitting in public is rude and gross. Don’t do it. Maple Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier learned Monday just how gross it can be. 

With Garret Sparks getting the start in net, Bernier was hanging out on the bench during a stoppage in play and decided to spit on the ice, for some reason.

Yeah, some poor member of the ice crew skated right into the crossfire. Hopefully Bernier learned his lesson.
