Chris Jackson and Anthony Ramos, two of the stars from the hit Broadway show Hamilton, sang the national anthem before Friday's Mets’ home opener at Citi Field against the Phillies.

Hamilton tells the story of Alexander Hamilton in rap and hip-hop. The musical tells his story from his early days as an orphan in the Caribbean and the aftermath of the election of 1800.

Jackson plays George Washington despite his lack of hair. Ramos plays John Laurens in the first act and Phillip Hamilton in the second act.

Creator and writer Lin-Manuel Miranda, a Washington Heights native, was not present at Citi field but is known to be a big New York Giants and tennis fan. He once penned a New York Timesarticle and mentioned Bernie Williams as his favorite Yankee.

Unlike Mets games, Hamilton tickets are sold out through the fall.
