Chris Kluwe has been out of the NFL since 2012 after serving as the Vikings punter for eight seasons and now has turned his athletic attentions towards another grueling task in the American Ninja Warrior obstacle course.

Kluwe began training last summer for the opening stage of the three-part contest that ends with the remaining competitors taking on Mt. Midoryama, a course so difficult only two contestants on the show have ever completed it.

The punter's quest did not make it that far though.

He had a good sense of humor about the failure though.

While that is a lot of training for just 12 seconds, think about how badly a non-professional athlete with no training would fail. I would probably hear the starting buzzer and just fall to the ground.
