Iceland’s goalie directed a music video for Eurovision. It is pretty intense

Iceland’s goalkeeper, Hannes Þór Halldórsson, directed a very intense Eurovision contest video.

Not all the players in this year’s Euro 2016 tournament have spent their whole lives immersed in soccer, from youth teams onto the big stage, with some holding side jobs along their way to the top of the sport.

The most interesting of these has to be Iceland’s goalkeeper Hannes Þór Halldórsson, who let his creativity flourish in his day job as a director, even putting together the official clip for his country’s 2012 Eurovision entry.

For those not familiar with Eurovision, it is a yearly contest with countries from across the globe, but primarily Europe, competing to see who can craft the finest pop song. The entries are often prized for their camp value, and Halldórsson’s does not disappoint.

Halldórsson is no Hype Williams, but he does have stifling Cristiano Ronaldo on his resume.
