The Brooklyn Cyclones are among the most innovative minor league teams when it comes to fun promotions, with events celebrating Seinfeld and Saved by the Bell. The Mets affiliate is going the extra mile on Sunday, changing the team’s name to celebrate a New York institution.
Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs is turning 100 and the Brooklyn Cyclones will become the Coney Island Franks to honor the boardwalk institution. The team will even have some very impressive new hats to go along with its new moniker.
