Another week, another exploding beer at a baseball game. Last week, we had some woman who inexplicably raised her entire tray of food and beer to catch a foul ball, only to see it splatter everywhere. This week, we have a hero beer.

Yes, at Saturday’s Mets–Phillies game, an aluminum bottle stood in the way of a pair of fans and a hard-hit foul ball off the bat of Philadelphia’s Odubel Herrera. Herrera hit an absolute laserbeam the other way, and luckily, the beer prevented any injuries.

This is more impressive than it is funny. Sure, the entire section was showered in beer, but that beer may have just saved a life. Who knows what happens if that ball makes it through to one of those fans clean!
