An early-season injury derailed the career of quarterback Jason Street in the hit television show Friday Night Lights, but Texans star J.J. Watt will not allow an injury to slow him down.

Wearing a Dillon Panthers t-shirt, which featured quarterback Matt Saracen's No. 7, Watt declared that there is no doubt in his mind that he will be ready to play in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears.

Watt underwent back surgery in late July to repair a herniated disk that caused him to leave the Texans' AFC Wild Card game, which the team lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Uh, hey J.J.—maybe next time show some love for the East Dillon Lions.
