Who's going to Miami?

I watch a lot of NFL football. Whether it's a live game (with the exception of one week when I had a prior engagement, I've seen at least a series from each and every game played this season), highlights, pregame, postgame, analysis, injury reports, NFL Network, etc., chances are I've seen it and I've filed it away to better help you with your fantasy teams. So I felt especially well-qualified to participate in the NFL's annual Pro Bowl balloting process. Unlike the past, the players selected will not be going to Hawaii, only Miami, and the two Super Bowl teams won't have any participants since the contest will be played the week between Coonference Championship Weekend and Super Bowl Sunday. But in any case, these are my picks. You can make your selections here.

Fantasy Fountain of Youth

The next time someone tells you that fantasy football is nothing but a waste of time and has no redeeming qualities, send them this.

Bye Bye Byes

With the Giants and Texans watching from the sidelines on Sunday, this marks the final week that you'll be scrambling to replace players due to a bye. So since you'll have some extra slots to play with going forward, this is the time that you should start looking towards getting your roster playoff-ready. The first thing you need to do is check the schedules for Weeks 14, 15 and 16. No matter how good your team has been to this point, the last thing you need is to run up against a bad matchup when you need a win the most, so use your superfluous spots on players with future value. Check your waiver wire and grab someone available now who could be useful come playoff time. Is the Cardinals defense available? Well, Arizona is playing San Francisco, Detroit and St. Louis in the pivotal weeks. How about Dan Carpenter, whose Dolphins have favorable field goal matchups with the Jags, Titans and Texans? Check out the matchups below:
