NBA fantasy waiver wire report

With the trade deadline past and the stretch run upon us, we go in search of a few late-season pickups to spice up your roster.

Marcus Thornton, Hornets (42% owned in Yahoo! leagues): This guy should be owned in almost every league by now, as he's averaging 23 points, 2.3 treys, and 1.5 steals over his last four games.

George Hill, Spurs (34% owned): With Tony Parker out on Friday, Hill dropped 26 points, 3 assists, and 3 treys on 8-14 FG and 7-8 FT shooting.

Robin Lopez, Suns (38% owned): Can you believe 30 points and 12 boards from ROBIN Lopez?!? That's what he did on Friday, and it was his second double-double in a row. His confidence is going to be sky high now, so don't hesitate if you need center help.

Beno Udrih, Kings (39% owned): Udrih got the start on Friday and exploded for 25 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals in 42 minutes. His playing time has been sporadic recently, but after this performance he should earn a larger role.

Sergio Rodriguez, Knicks (23% owned): After four games with his new team, Sergio had dished out 20 assists and nabbed 13 steals. He won't score a ton of points, but if you need help in those other categories and Rodriguez is still available, you should swoop him up.

Deep-league pickups

Theo Ratliff, Bobcats (1% owned): He's still got it! Ratliff is quietly getting solid playing time in Charlotte due to injuries to Tyson Chandler and Nazr Mohammed, and he's responded with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 blocks over his last three games. The guy can still protect the rim with the best of the, so pick him up if you need some swats.

Antoine Wright, Raptors (2% owned): DeMar DeRozan is starting, but Wright is the one playing the bulk of the minutes. On Friday he dropped 10 points, 2 threes, and 1 steal in 30 minutes, and he had 19 points and 3 treys in a game earlier in the week.

CJ Miles, Jazz (1% owned): Miles is getting 29 mpg over his last 5 games, averaging 9.4 points, 2 assists, and 1.6 treys in the process. Like DeRozan in Toronto, Wes Matthews isn't doing much as the starter.

Leon Powe, Cavs (1% owned): Powe has finally been activated by the Cavs, and he scored 8 points, pulled down 6 boards, and blocked 1 shot in his first 20 minutes. With Shaq out for awhile, Cleveland needs their big men to step up, and Powe has flashed plenty of talent in the past.

Marcus Williams, Grizzlies (0% owned)

Williams has seen an increase in playing time recently, and despite scoring just 4.2 points on 28% shooting, he's also handing out 3.4 assists over his last 5 games. If you're desperate for assists, then you should consider Williams.
