NFL Draft: Will Levis Fantasy Football Impact After Being Taken No. 33 by Titans

The Titans believe they found their new franchise quarterback in former Kentucky signal-caller Will Levis but fantasy football players should be in no rush to draft the rookie passer in 2023.

Will Levis was drafted by the Titans with the No. 33 pick in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft. The former Kentucky quarterback had a lot of buzz entering draft week and was projected by the sportsbooks as the favorite to be the second overall pick. Instead, he became this year's first-round draft snub. Tennesse traded the 41st pick, 72nd pick, and a third-round pick in 2024 in exchange for the second pick in the second round and the 81st overall selectin in this year's draft.

Levis has the prototypical size and arm talent NFL coaches and general managers adore and played in a pro-style passing offense with the Wildcats. But with Ryan Tannehill still on the roster, Levis isn't expected to enter the season as the starter but if the Titans sputter out of the gate, the team may want to make the transition to their new rookie.

As the case with most rookie quarterbacks, Levis will have to quickly adapt to the speed of the NFL while also digesting the Titans' playbook. Tennessee has a few talented offensive playmakers but the focal point remains in the rushing attack with Derrick Henry. I

Will Levis pro comparison and college stats

Levis tossed 43 touchdowns in his last two seasons but turnovers were a bit of a concern for the 6’3” passer as he threw 23 interceptions during that stretch. In 2021, he showed off his rushing ability and nose for the end zone by scoring nine touchdowns on the ground to go along with 376 yards, but that number crashed in 2022 as he rushed for 107 fewer rushing yards and scored just twice.

Levis did not participate in most of the NFL combine drills but his physical traits and athleticism are comparable to Dak Prescott and Jordan Love according to MockDraftable. In terms of his passing ability and accuracy, Jay Cutler is a recent player that had similar passing traits (big arm, a bit inaccurate).
