Pro Golfer Puts Ball Straight Into Spectator’s Drink, Still Birdies Hole

A spectator at The American Express found himself right in the middle of the action on the 16th hole Thursday when golfer Adam Schenk’s ball landed in an unexpected location.

Directly in the fan’s beverage.

Schenk misfired his second attempt on the par 5 hole, and the ball wound up going well right of his target. Amid the confusion about where the ball actually landed, one fan could be heard exclaiming, “Look at that!”

Moments later, a spectator lifted his arm to show that the ball was sitting in his cup, and the broadcast quickly offered a zoomed-in look at the drink.

After the bizarre and unplayable landing spot of his ball, Schenk was still able to save birdie on the hole after sinking a putt on his fourth shot.

That prompted a comical congratulatory message from his wife Kourtney, who shared a photo of the ball in the fan’s drink.

Unfortunately, he ran into some trouble on the next hole, recording a double bogey on the 17th, and ultimately ended his day two strokes under par.
