It's Official: Anthony Kim to Play LIV Golf Through Rest of 2024 Season

Anthony Kim’s return to golf is finally official.
After weeks of speculation and signs that he was already practicing in Jeddah, the LIV Golf League announced Wednesday that Kim is playing this week and will compete as a wild card player for the rest of the remaining schedule.
“After stepping away from the game years ago due to injury, I’m happy to officially announce my return to the world of professional golf,” Kim said in a statement. “It’s been a long time coming, and I’m very grateful for all the highs, lows and lessons learned from the first part of my career. I want to compete with the best players in the world, and I’m on a mission to prove to myself that I can win again. The next step on that journey starts now, and I’m excited to give everything I’ve got this season on the LIV Golf League.”
In a video released Wednesday morning by LIV Golf, Kim is pictured on the course and talking a little about his return:

Kim, 38, will have the opportunity to play his way into LIV Golf for the 2025 season by earning enough points. The Saudi-backed league has played two tournaments so far and has 10 regular-season individual events remaining.
Kim won three times on the PGA Tour but has not competed since he withdrew from the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship due to injury.
