Daniel Berger (Adidas Golf)
The biggest fashion story at Harbour Town was the release of these groovy Adidas kicks. On Saturday, the limited edition 'Summer of Golf' CodeChaos were released and subsequently, sold out in a flash. The inspiration for these shoes came from San Francisco's ‘Summer of Love’ phenomenon in 1967 and they were meant to be worn at the PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park (originally scheduled for May). They've now become a rallying cry for a return to golf and positive vibes for the summer. If you haven't tried the CodeChaos yet, they are the golf shoe to own this summer.
Xander Schauffele (Adidas Golf)
I continue to be impressed with everything that Adidas Golf is putting out this year. Xander Schauffele is also climbing the ranks with his sartorial skills. His fits are always on-point! I'm particularly fond of his custom HEAT.RDY polo with the three-stripes along the side. Adidas HEAT.RDY is perfect for the humid conditions of South Carolina. It is lightweight and the unique body mapping technology and 100% recycled polyester provides precise ventilation zones to keep the body cool and dry. Did I mention that it looks amazing? The Adicross Bold Strip Hat is a great, stylish accessory, too.
Webb Simpson (FootJoy)
With his win on Sunday, Webb Simpson is now ranked fifth in the Official World Golf Rankings and first in the FedEx Cup. No doubt, he certainly looked like a winner on Saturday! The Lisle Ogee polo is the perfect style for Webb. My gripe with Simpson is that he sometimes wears shirts that are not flattering for his physique. This all-over print is perfect, though.
Danny Lee (Peter Millar & FootJoy)
Follow in the footsteps of Danny Lee! He went with a simple, classic look: black trousers, a black braided belt, and a blue and black striped shirt. Danny’s shoes, however, did all the talking. The FootJoy ICON Asymmetrical shoes with a Houndstooth pattern on the saddle were straight fire! You can customize your pair of these on the FootJoy website.
Justin Thomas (Ralph Lauren & FootJoy)
Justin Thomas took a similar stylistic approach to Danny Lee and brilliantly let his RLX Square Deco pants be the focal point of his kit on Sunday. The white hat, polo, and shoes complemented his slacks beautifully.
Tony Finau (Nike Golf)
It’s not easy to pull off a belt that looks like a bowl of Fruity Pebbles. Tony Finau pulled it off and I loved it.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout (Galvin Green & FootJoy)
The Galvin Green Markell polo is one of my favorite performance golf shirts. It also makes me think of the Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five song, ‘The Message.’ “Broken glass everywhere…” The design on this shirt mirrors the outcome of hitting something hard--just as you do on a golf course. Remember, you are responsible for any broken windows.
Gary Woodland (Puma Golf)
I recently had the opportunity to wear Puma’s new Cloudspun fabric and it is amazing. Puma advertises it as the softest, coziest, and most comfortable apparel they’ve ever made, and they aren’t kidding! Might I recommend the Taylor polo? The on-trend color-block pattern in the midsection puts a fun golf spin on a traditional rugby shirt.
Matt Wallace (J.Lindeberg & FootJoy)
There is something about the ‘J.Lindeberg bridge logo’ across the upper back that looks so freaking cool! It doesn’t hurt that it creates an illusion of broader shoulders. And who doesn’t want that?!
