Erik van Rooyen (Greyson Clothiers)
And another one. And another one. (Said in the best DJ Khaled voice.) Another day, another killer fit from Erik van Rooyen. No one is bringing more fire to the golf fashion scene than EVR. For the third round, he debuted Greyson’s artistic and colorful Peace Maker Polo that feeds into the brand’s Southwest inspiration for Fall 2020. Completing his look was ECCO’s S-Casual Shoes. The chunky silhouette was on-trend and a perfect complement to his signature joggers.
Dustin Johnson (Adidas Golf)
Speaking of being on repeat, DJ had his swing and putting stroke on repeat. He also had this white ¼ zip tech vest on repeat throughout the week. How can something as basic as a solid white vest elevate his looks day after day? It has everything to do with the on-point fit.
Ryo Ishikawa (TravisMathew)
Breaking golf fashion news! Ryo Ishikawa is back and he is looking sharp in TravisMathew. Chest stripes have been a signature design element for TM and these have a bit of a retro look to them. I’m not sure when this sweater drops, but the line starts behind me. I’m also diggin’ the micro print on the cap.
Matt Wallace (J.Lindeberg)
The track stripe along the side seam on these trousers is sick. Matt Wallace is a great ambassador for J.Lindeberg and among the best dressed guys in the game.
Justin Thomas (Ralph Lauren)
The RLX Cool Wool Quilted Jacket wasn’t in JT’s script, but it is no surprise to see him rockin’ it in the cool and foggy conditions. This has been a go-to layering piece for the world No. 1 and a mainstay in Ralph Lauren’s collections over the last few years. The insulated front keeps the core warm while the wool sleeves and back have stretch for range of motion. If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.
Viktor Hovland (J.Lindeberg)
J.Lindeberg made waves in the early 2000s with bold color-blocked designs and slim fits. This softshell jacket takes me back to those vintage looks from JL.
Gary Woodland (Puma)
I’ve been a big fan of the Puma Haight Golf Polo since it was released. I wasn’t so sure about the bohemian-inspired tie-dye Golf Crew and Limited Edition Ignite PWRADAPT Caged Shoes until I saw Gary Woodland rocking them all together. I am now all in.
Hideki Matsuyama
How many colors can you get into one fit, Hideki? Aqua pants, mint green sleeves, black vest with pinstripes, and grey shoes. My head hurts. This outfit needs to be locked in a cell at Alcatraz.
Kevin Kisner (Peter Millar)
Kevin Kisner is looking cool in these arctic hues. The Peter Millar Reversible Camo Wool Crewneck really stood out on the course.
Billy Horschel (Ralph Lauren)
A few years ago, I thought camo was a fad on the fairways. Instead, it has become an essential in every stylish golfer’s wardrobe. Billy Horschel has been rockin’ camo for several years and he gave us another take on the pattern with various shades of grey in this Merino hoodie.
Lanto Griffin (Galvin Green)
Layering has been one of the big fashion stories for the week. Props to Galvin Green for using San Francisco’s cool conditions to showcase its new line of Insula layers. The brand’s jackets and pullovers are the Mercedes of golf outerwear — sleek, luxurious, and high performance. Lanto layered up with GG’s new Dwight ½-zip. The subtle micro print on the chest pocket and sleeves elevate the look of this otherwise solid pullover.
Matthew Wolff
Way too much going on here, youngster. Take a look above at Gary Woodland for a lesson on how to incorporate tie-dye tastefully. That sweatshirt looks like the result of my first load of laundry in college.
