Cameron Young’s Errant Tee Shot Ends Up Inside Reporter’s Golf Cart: ‘You Won’t Believe This’

Making a hole in one at the U.S. Open is an impressive feat.
What Cameron Young did on Saturday, however, may be even more improbable.
Teeing off on No. 10 during his third round at Los Angeles Country Club, Young landed his ball not in the hole but squarely in an NBC reporter’s golf cart’s ball receptacle. TV cameras and photographers captured the ball as it lodged perfectly in a holder where one would presumably store their golf ball during an ordinary round.
“It’s in the little golf ball holder in the front part of the cart,” NBC’s stunned announcing team observed.
“You know whose cart that is, boys?” broadcaster Ned Michaels said. “That’s my cart. I kid you not. Play it as it lies.”
"Nobody will believe this."

After wading through the swarm of media—including a chuckling, still shocked Michaels—Young was admirably able to save par. The American is tied for 32nd in the tournament at even par, 10 strokes back of leader Rickie Fowler.
