Latest odds, favorites, sleeper picks for Bermuda Championship
With world No. 1 Dustin Johnson sitting out last week after testing positive for COVID-19, the Zozo Championship was there for the taking for Nos. 2 and 3 in the world, Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas, respectively. However, Patrick Cantlay stole the show with a scintillating final-round 65 to take his first victory of the year and the third of his PGA Tour career. After extremely hot starts for all of our picks, Tyrrell Hatton, Harris English and Justin Rose stumbled on the weekend, with only the sleeper Rose cracking the top 25.
The PGA Tour now heads to the Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course, where the world was reacquainted with Brendon Todd, who ended a five-year victory drought and since then has been one of the game’s steadiest players. With Todd, at No. 41 in the world, the highest-ranked player at Bermuda, some of the Tour’s lesser-known players have a good shot at finding the winner’s circle.
According to William Hill, Korn Ferry Tour darling Will Zalatoris rated as the favorite, at 11-1, followed by Todd, at 12-1. Harold Varner III was the third choice, at 25-1, followed by Doc Redman, at 28-1.
For our favorite, Redman rates as a value play at 28-1. Redman arrives in Bermuda with two T-3 results in his past five tournaments – at the Safeway Open and the Wyndham Championship – against more capable fields. He ranked 11th in strokes gained approach as a rookie last year on the PGA Tour, so if he can keep it steady this week, he should contend for his first victory in his 40th career start.
For a midrange pick, Peter Malnati at 40-1 presents a solid value play. In his past two starts, Malnati posted two top-five finishes: runner-up at the Sanderson Farms Championship and a T-5 at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. He also ranks first on Tour in strokes gained putting early in the 2020-21 season. Malnati is an auto top-10-finish bet.
At 66-1 odds, Wesley Bryan rates as a good sleeper pick to win the Bermuda Championship.

For a sleeper, we’re going with Wesley Bryan at 66-1. The 2017 RBC Heritage winner ranks first in strokes gained approach among the Bermuda Championship field. During weaker PGA Tour stops, iron play is an accurate indicator of who is more likely to be dialed in week-to-week. Bryan recently finished T-12 at Sanderson Farms, so do not be surprised if he’s contending on Sunday.
