DeChambeau, who shot even par or better each round, finished at 6-under-par 274 for the championship. He became only the third player to finish under par for 72 holes in six U.S. Opens contested at Winged Foot. In 1984, Fuzzy Zoeller and Greg Norman finished at 4-under 276. Zoeller defeated Norman in a playoff.
