The PGA Tour Tweeted About LIV Golf’s Brooks Koepka Leading the Masters and Fans Had Jokes

This was awkward.

Brooks Koepka surged into the lead Friday at the Masters with a 5-under 67 in his second round at Augusta National. 

As you probably know, Koepka, a four-time major championship winner, left the PGA Tour last year to join LIV Golf. It was a bit of a stunning move, especially when he did it shortly after PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan attended Koepka’s wedding last June. 

Things between the PGA Tour and the players who left for LIV Golf have been contentious, which is what can happen when lawsuits are involved and the state of men’s professional golf is turned upside down.

Well, on Friday the PGA Tour actually had to tweet something Koepka and while it wasn’t a surprise to see them tweeting about the leader of the Masters, this was still remarkable to see:
