With his T7 finish at this past week’s Travelers Championship, Rory McIlroy officially became just the fourth PGA Tour golfer in history to surpass $75 million in career earnings.

The Northern Irish golf star now ranks third in the PGA Tour’s all-time career earnings list behind no other than Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson

McIlroy previously trailed Dustin Johnson, but his $650,000 payout on Sunday pushed him from the fourth spot to the third spot. He needed just $248,530 last weekend to pass Johnson, per Golf Digest. Johnson can only earn PGA Tour earnings from majors as of now as he plays with LIV Golf.

McIlroy officially hit the $75 million mark after his second place finish at the U.S. Open, which ended on Sunday, June 18. He ended one stroke behind the champion Wyndham Clark, but if McIlroy would’ve won, he could have ended his nearly nine-year major drought.

Fans shouldn’t expect to see McIlroy climb much higher on the list for quite some time as he now trails Mickelson, who has $96,572,310 in earnings, and Woods, who has $120,954,766 in earnings. McIlroy would need to win quite a few more tournaments and majors in order to catch up to these golf legends.
