Scottie Scheffler’s Ace Even Made the Cameraman Go Wild at Colonial

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is making moves at the Charles Schwab Challenge—big moves.

Scheffler birdied his opening hole on Sunday, and then six consecutive pars later, he did something he’s only accomplished once before in his professional career.

The Texan made a hole in one on the 189-yard par-3, the same hole that Harris English aced during Round 2.

Scheffler’s perfectly judged tee shot moved him from 5 to 7 under par for the tournament, helping to put quite a bit of pressure on Harry Hall, the PGA Tour rookie leading the tournament.

The Masters champion’s ace sent every spectator in the general vicinity of the hole into an absolute frenzy, including the very individual who was responsible for filming the hole.

As Scheffler’s ball dropped into the cup, the CBS camera appeared to start violently shaking as celebrations commenced.

Fans jumped up and down around the green as Scheffler hugged his caddie, Ted Scott and received a round of high-fives from the rest of his group.

Scheffler’s first hole in one as a professional came at the 2014 AT&T Byron Nelson, during the third round on the 2nd hole.
