First things first: it's easy to poke fun at Si Woo Kim for making a 13 (!) on the 155-yard par 3 11th hole Sunday at TPC Southwind. Here's how how he did it:

That's a rinsed tee shot and then four more shots into the water from the drop zone before he, uh, recovered to find the back of the island green. He chipped on and made the 1-footer for a 13. As you can see above, that's the highest score recorded on a par 3 on Tour (in a non-major) since 1983 when they started keeping that stat.

We're not here to make fun of him, though, because the man deserves credit for apparently continuing to fire at the stick like Roy McAvoy despite knowing he was headed for a huge score. He also gets props for finishing with three birdies on the final four holes to shoot 78. A 78 with a 13 is not too shabby:

Kim declined to talk about the 13 after his round, per GolfChannel's Ryan Lavner, who quoted his player partner Cam Davis: "Maybe one too many attempts at the flag.”

Kim wasn't the only player to find the water on No. 11. Check out what happened to Bryson DeChambeau and Harris English:

DeChambeau finished the hole with a triple-bogey six. English made five.
