IGTM helps grow PGA Show travel pavilion

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Golf Travel Pavilion clearly was not one of the larger sections of the massive PGA Merchandise Show, held last month at the Orange County Convention Center, but this year featured a notable new member.

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Golf Travel Pavilion clearly was not one of the larger sections of the massive PGA Merchandise Show, held last month at the Orange County Convention Center, but this year featured a notable new member.

For the first time, the International Golf Travel Market joined the pavilion to spotlight key golf tourism suppliers. The IGTM, organized by Reed Exhibitions, has taken place annually in varying destinations each fall since 1998 and has become an established meeting place for the global B2B golf travel community.

The IGTM suppliers spotlighted at the Orlando show were Golf Slovenia, Golf England, European Tour Properties, Royal Golf Dar Es Salam (Rabat), Royal Golf Marrakech &Al Maaden, Golf Tazegzout (Taghzout Bay), Golf Assoufid (Marrakech), Palmeraie Country Club (Casablanca), Palmgolf Ourika (Marrakech) and Palmgolf Palmeraie and Resort (Marrakech).

IGTM’s appearance at the show is in keeping with the heavy international flavor at the Golf Travel Pavilion. Golf destinations from Ireland, Scotland, France, Morocco, Australia, South Africa, Mexico and the Dominican Republic were represented.

Resorts on hand were Sandals, Salamander, Evian, Gleneagles, Le Golf National and Macdonald. Services companies participating included Premier Golf, Haversham & Baker Golfing Expeditions, Rovos Rail, and Garmany Golf.
