THE REVIEW
Starter: This is the last course co-designed by the father and son team of Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr. Located a few minutes from Disney World, it’s a landmark in a unique planned community created by the Disney Development Co. in the 1990s. The setting is pleasant with an antique car at the entrance setting the tone.
Play because ...: The course will be part of a promising new event, the Kissimmee Family Golf Classic, June 20-23. The 54-hole team scramble will also play out at the Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson courses at nearby Reunion Resort. The Celebration course has been recognized in rankings by both Golf Digest and Golf World.
Takeaway: Water is in view on every hole, though it isn’t much of a factor on some of them. Forced carries off the tees are commonplace. So are bending fairways, and the greens are tricky throughout. Overall, a challenging and fun layout. The practice range is a bit unusual — players hit balls into a pond.

Best par 3: No. 5 [204 | 159 | 143 | 129 yards]
The shortest hole on the course is also one of the prettiest holes in Florida.
Best par 4: No. 7 [442 | 413 | 375 | 333 yards]
Both Joneses liked the concept of holes that were hard pars, but easy bogeys. This is certainly one of those. The No. 1 handicap hole is certainly difficult with water lining both sides of a narrow fairway and six thought-provoking fairway bunkers confounding players all the way from the tee to the green.
Best par 5: No. 18 [574 | 557 | 515 | 461 yards]
The longest hole on the course presents the most demanding challenge. Placement is key on the three shots ideally required to reach the green.
