StubHub, the official ticketing partner of the Philadelphia 76ers, launched a new ticketing platform Tuesday that combines primary and secondary tickets in a single marketplace. This new platform will be the new ticket destination for fans, providing a simple and seamless way to search for and easily sell or purchase tickets, according to the company

This is the first time that single-game tickets will be available through the team’s new partnership with the ticket reselling company, and it’s also the beginning of StubHub’s era of selling tickets for an entire venue and not just seats being resold, according to philly.com.

“Fans tell us they want the best seats for the best value in the most convenient way,” StubHub president Scott Cutler said in a statement. “In building this platform, StubHub created a technologically advanced ticket solution for the team that offer fans the best ticket options to match how they want to see the game, as well as additional services such as parking, bundled into a single transaction.”

StubHub designed the new marketplace with a mobile-first mentality, making it equally accessible from a phone or tablet screen or a larger laptop or computer.

Those who purchase tickets will also be able to experience increased personalization that recommends ticket options based on search criteria and purchase history. Season-ticket holders will have the ability to resell their tickets with a barcode integration that offers them an easy and fast way to list and sell tickets.

“Technology is at the center of our fans’ lives and it’s important that the Sixers organization leverages technology to better connect our fans with the team,” 76ers CEO Scott O’Neil said in a statement. “With StubHub powering out brand new ticket marketplace, fans can expect a simple, single destination for all their Sixers ticketing needs, with the security and reliability they expect, and an easy buying and selling experience whether they’re on a small or large screen.”

The new model combines all available primary and secondary ticket inventory together in one seat map, which does not designate tickets as primary or secondary. There are integration capabilities that enable multi-channel primary and secondary distribution, as well as primary ticketing providers to build into the program, giving box offices complete choice for both back office tools and distribution.

The 76ers and StubHub will integrate the new platform with Spectra Ticketing and Fan Engagement, which has been and will continue to provide the team the box office tools, season ticket member sales, account management and access control that allow the team to manage its primary ticketing business.

Since beginning their partnership in 2012, StubHub and the 76ers have elevated their relationship in other ways as well. In May, StubHub was named the official jersey sponsor of the 76ers, making them the NBA’s first team with a jersey patch sponsorship.
