Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki gave Rockies fans some good news on Wednesday as the four-time All-Star was seen taking batting practice before Colorado's game against the Cubs.

It was the first time he's done anything baseball related since landing on the disabled list with an injured hip on July 22. There's still no exact timetable for his return but the news comes approximately a week after he received a procedure known as "dry needling" with the expectation that he would return sometime in the middle of August.

At the time of his injury, the 29-year-old was leading the majors in on-base percentage (.432) and was second in batting average (.340) and slugging percentage (.603). His 21 homers had also led all shortstops.
