Report: Athletics slugger Adam Dunn softens stance on possible retirement
Athletics slugger Adam Dunn softened his stance this week when asked about his recent comments about likely retiring after this season, according to a tweet from The San Francisco Chronicle's John Shea.
The 34-year-old two-time All-Star, who homered in his first at-bat for his new Oakland team, said shortly shortly the trade from the White Sox this past weekend that he will probably call it a career when the season ends.

Now, Dunn is set to make the playoffs for the first time in his career, so he's apparently rethinking his future in baseball, telling Shea, "Obviously, things have changed now." From what he said, it sounds like he will at least take a couple of months to weigh his options before deciding his next move.
The A's are currently second in the AL West heading into their series on Friday at home against the Astros.
