Report: Korean pitcher Hyeon-jong Yang to be posted for bidding
Korean pitcher Hyeon-jong Yang will be posted by his team, the Kia Tigers, in order to make the jump to Major League Baseball, reports Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News.
According to Feinsand, the 26-year-old will be available for MLB teams to bid on in coming weeks, and the team who makes the highest bid will receive a 30-day window to exclusively negotiate with him.
Yang went 16-8 with a 4.25 ERA and 157 strikeouts in 165 innings in 2014. He ranked second in the Korean Baseball Organization in wins, fourth in strikeouts and walked just 73 batters.

According to Feinsand, Yang throws a fastball between 92-95 mph and has been said to project as a No. 3 starter in the majors.
Hyun-jin Ryu, who was the first player to jump from the KBO to the majors via the posting system, accepted a $25.7 million bid from the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012 before signing a six-year, $36 million deal with them.
