BALTIMORE (AP) Right-hander Eddie Gamboa and the Baltimore Orioles have agreed to a one-year contract that pays him a $525,000 salary in the major leagues and $150,000 in the minors.

Gamboa went a combined 5-7 with a 3.81 ERA in 19 games with Double-A Bowie and Triple-A Norfolk. The 29-year-old is currently pitching in the Mexican Pacific League Winter League.

Originally selected by the Orioles in the 21st round of the 2008 amateur draft out of UC Davis, Gamboa is 42-41 with a 3.44 ERA in 183 minor league appearances over seven seasons.

The deal announced Wednesday fills out Baltimore's 40-man roster.
