The Giants have acquired infielder Casey McGehee in a trade with the Marlins, according to CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman. The Marlins will likely receive minor league pitching in return, the Sun Sentinel's Juan C. Rodriguez reports.
McGehee would play third base for the Giants, replacing Pablo Sandoval, who signed with the Red Sox as a free agent.
The Marlins acquired Martin Prado from the Yankeesearlier Friday to play third base.

McGehee, 32, played in 160 games for the Marlins last season. He batted .287 with a .357 slugging percentage. He hit a career-low four home runs but was third on the team with 76 RBIs.
