Marlins to host 2017 All-Star Game
The Miami Marlins will host the 2017 MLB All-Star Game, the team's first-ever time hosting the game.

The Miami Marlins will host the 2017 MLB All-Star Game, the league announced on Friday.
It will be the first All-Star Game hosted by the Marlins, who began play in 1993. It will also be the first All-Star Game in the state of Florida; the Tampa Bay Rays have never hosted the game.

Miami's new stadium, Marlins Park, opened in 2012 and replaced the multipurpose Sun Life Stadium as the team's home. With a capacity of 37,422, Marlins Park is among the smallest MLB stadiums.
MLB announced last month that San Diego will host the 2016 All-Star Game. Cincinnati will be the site of this year's game.
