Cardinals' Lynn leaves gave with left hip flexor strain

JUPITER, Fla. (AP) St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Lance Lynn has left his team's spring training game against Miami with a left hip flexor strain.

Lynn departed after the first three batters reached base in the second inning Sunday. He'll be reevaluated Monday to determine extent of injury, the Cardinals said.

Making his first start of spring training, Lynn retired the side in order in the first inning. In the second he gave up back to back walks, and then departed after the next batter reached on an error.

Lynn went 15-10 with a 2.74 ERA last season. He's 48-27 over the past three seasons.
