New York Yankees designated hitter Alex Rodriguez hit his first home run of spring training on Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox.

It was Rodriguez's first home run in any kind of game since Sept. 20, 2013. He was suspended for the entire 2014 season due to his use of performance enhancing drugs and his role in the Biogenesis scandal.

New York Post is already mocking Alex Rodriguez's numbers

Rodriguez entered Wednesday having gone 4-for-9 with one RBI, two walks and a double so far in spring training. He played third base against the Red Sox.

Before his arrival in Florida, Rodriguez wrote a handwritten apology letter to fans, saying he takes “full responsibility for the mistakes that led to my suspension for the 2014 season.”
