TAMPA, Fla. (AP) New York Yankees outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury has been scratched from the starting lineup against Toronto due to a mild right abdominal strain.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Ellsbury will not play Tuesday and Wednesday, then will be evaluated Thursday. He didn't rule out Ellsbury missing up to a week.

Girardi says that he's ''not too concerned'' about the injury.

Ellsbury was examined by a team doctor Tuesday.
