SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) The Arizona Diamondbacks have optioned right-handers Yoan Lopez, Allen Webster and A.J. Schugel, and left-hander Matt Reynolds to Triple-A Reno.

The Diamondbacks also reassigned outfielder Nick Buss, infielder Walter Ibarra and left-hander Dan Runzler to minor league camp.

Arizona was hoping Lopez would compete for a rotation spot after signing him out of Cuba, but the 21-year-old went 1-2 with a 7.90 ERA in five spring appearances.

The 30-year-old Reynolds was bothered by an oblique strain early in spring training, but had been in the running for a spot in Arizona's bullpen. He appeared in six spring games, going 0-1 with a 3.18 ERA.

Webster, who was acquired from Boston in an offseason trade, was 0-1 with an 8.18 ERA in five spring appearances.
