LEADING OFF: Voila! Major league ball back in Montreal

A look at what's happening around spring training in Florida and Arizona today:

---

BONJOUR

Major League Baseball returns to Montreal when Toronto and Cincinnati open a two-game series at Olympic Stadium. The city had the Expos from 1969-2004. Last year, a pair of exhibitions at the Big O between the Blue Jays and Mets drew over 96,000 fans. There has been occasional talk about Montreal getting a franchise, but a new ballpark would be a must.

NICE MATCHUP

The Nationals and Yankees wrap up their Grapefruit League seasons when Stephen Strasburg starts against CC Sabathia in Tampa, Florida.

DECISION TIME

The Diamondbacks are still deciding whether prized Cuban prospect Yasmany Tomas will make his big league debut or start the season in the minors. The 24-year-old has played third base and the outfield this month. He is set to play in Arizona's last exhibition game Saturday, and the 25-man roster must be finalized Sunday.

JOB HUNTING

Veteran reliever Jose Valverde is looking around to see if some big league team wants him. The Padres released the 37-year-old, saying he has a Triple-A invitation if no one signs him. Valverde has 288 career saves, including two last season with the Mets.
