Los Angeles Angels centerfielder Mike Trout hit a home run in his first at-bat of the 2015 season on Monday. 

Trout launched the home run to center off Seattle Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez in the first inning of the Angels season-opener Monday. It marks the second consecutive year Trout has taken Hernandez deep in his first plate appearance of the season.

Trout, 23, won the American League MVP last season after leading the league in runs (115), RBIs (110) and wins above replacement (7.9, per Baseball-Reference). He now has 16 hits in 39 career at-bats against Hernandez, who was the AL Cy Young runner-up in 2014.
