Red Sox 3B Pablo Sandoval leaves game with left foot contusion

Boston Red Sox third baseman Pablo Sandoval left Tuesday night's game against the Washington Nationals in the sixth inning due to a left foot contusion.
Sandoval was hit in the foot in the third inning by a pitch from Stephen Strasburg. The third baseman batted in the bottom of the fifth inning before being removed and was 0-for-2 on the night.

Hanley Ramirez moved from leftfield to third base to take over for Sandoval, with Daniel Nava shifting from rightfield to left and Shane Victorino entering the game to play rightfield.
In eight games this season, Sandoval is hitting .306 with three RBI and a .375 on-base percentage. He signed a five-year, $100 million contract with Boston last November.
