World Series Game 1 delayed due to FOX broadcast issues

Game 1 of the 2015 World Series on Tuesday between the Royals and Mets was delayed when FOX Sports experienced technical difficulties.

Due to the fact that Major League Baseball uses the game broadcast to review plays, both teams paused for a few minutes before coming to an agreement to play only with replay from the game’s international broadcast, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Dan O’Toole, who took over on FOX while the connection was lost, said that power to the network’s broadcast truck was lost. They then turned the audience over to the international broadcast, led by FOX’s Matt Vasgersian.

Replay was restored to both clubhouses around 9:40 p.m. ET, according to Rosenthal. Joe Buck and the FOX crew returned shortly after, after a 23-minute absence.

Replay is running just with MLB International cameras. None FOX. However, #Mets’ internal replays tied to FOX. Assume #Royals too.
