Brewers trade OF Khris Davis to Athletics
The Milwaukee Brewers have traded outfielder Khris Davis to Oakland Athletics in exchange for right-handed pitcher Bubby Derby and catcher Jacob Nottingham, the team announced.
In order to make room for Davis on the 40-man roster, left-handed pitcher Sean Nolin was designated for assignment.
Davis heads into his fourth season in the major leagues and has hit 60 home runs and 162 RBIs with the Brewers. Last year, he led the Brewers with 27 home runs despite missing six weeks due to knee injuries. He becomes arbitration eligible in 2017.

Nottingham, a sixth-round MLB draft pick by the Astros, was acquired by the Brewers in the trade that sent Scott Kazmir to the Astros in July. He made an appearance at Class-A with the Lancaster JetHawks.
Derby went 1–1 with a 1.21 ERA in rookie ball last year.
