Matt Garza left his start on Friday with elbow soreness.
The Milwaukee Brewers have placed right-handed pitcher Matt Garza on the 15-day disabled list with a shoulder strain, the team announced.
Right-handed pitcher Tyler Cravy was recalled from Triple A to replace Garza.
Garza’s time on the disabled list has been retroactively set to Saturday. He is coming off a season in which he finished 6-14 with a 5.63 ERA in 25 starts for Milwaukee.
He finished Spring Training with a 1–0 record and a 4.50 ERA in 22 innings, but left his last start on Friday with soreness in his right shoulder.
Right-handed starter Taylor Jungmann moves up a day and takes Garza’s place in the rotation against the Giants on Wednesday.
