The Tampa Bay Rays and Chicago White Sox game was delayed for a few minutes as a fan was struck by a foul ball, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.
The fan was reportedly sitting in the second row of seats behind the recently added netting at Tropicana Field. The ball went through a triangle-shaped opening.
Medical attendants assisted the fan before taking the fan out on a stretcher. Outfielder Steven Souza Jr., who hit the foul ball, went into the stands to check up on the fan.
