Bartolo Colon picked up his 220th career victory with the Mets’ 4–1 win over the Braves on Monday, surpassing Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez for the second-most career victories by a Dominican pitcher.

Colon pitched eight scoreless innings, striking out seven while allowing seven hits. It was his first scoreless start of the season.

The record is held by Juan Marichal, who won 243 games in his 16-year career. Colon is in his 19th season in the majors and third with the Mets.

The 2005 Cy Young award winner is now tied with Jerry Reuss for No. 77 on the all-time list.
