Kansas City Royals leftfielder Alex Gordon is headed to the disabled list with a broken bone in his right hand, reports FSKC’s Joel Goldberg.

Gordon, who is expected to miss three to four weeks, injured his hand on Sunday in a collision with Mike Moustakas. Gordon was originally diagnosed with a sprained wrist after the game.

To replace Gordon on the roster, Kansas City is recalling infielder Cheslor Cuthbert from Triple A Omaha.

In 42 games this season, the 32-year-old Gordon is hitting .211 with four home runs and 10 RBIs.The former No. 2 pick signed a four-year contract with the Royals ahead of the 2016 season.
