Los Angeles Dodgers pitching prospect Julio Urias lasted less than three innings in his major league debut on Friday night against the New York Mets at Citi FIeld.
Urias, 19, finished after 2 2/3 innings after giving up five hits, walking four batters and striking out three in his 81 pitches. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts planned to have Urias on a 90-pitch limit against the Mets.
Urias surrendered the first run of his major league career with a 78 mph slider that was drilled down the leftfield line for a double by Neil Walker.

In his 41 innings at Triple A Oklahoma City, he posted a 4-1 record with a 1.10 ERA. Before his call-up, he was in the middle of a 27-inning scoreless streak.
He joined the Dodgers as an undrafted free agent in August 2012.
