FARGO, N.D. (AP) A minor league baseball team in North Dakota doubled down on triple plays.

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks pulled off the rare feat twice Thursday afternoon against the Lincoln Saltdogs. It is the first time in American Association history that a team has turned two triple plays in one season, much less in one game.

KFGO radio reports that both triple plays were on ground balls to the third baseman, in the first and fifth innings. In both cases, Josh Mazzola fielded the grounders, stepped on third base and threw to second baseman Brandon Tierney, who relayed to Trevor Adams at first.

The RedHawks won 3-2.
