Angels Notes: Shohei Ohtani's Agent Reveals Prognosis for Two-Way Star, Are Phil Nevin's Days Numbered?

In this story:
Tuesday was another tough night for the Angels as they fell 5-4 to the Baltimore Orioles in 10 innings, their eighth loss in their last nine games.
Things were much better for the Halos off the field though.
Shohei Ohtani's agent made some big waves this week when he said that the two-way superstar will continue to pitch and hit in MLB once he returns from surgery after tearing his UCL, perhaps putting yet another wrinkle in his impending free agency.
Also, manager Phil Nevin made some rather interesting comments earlier this week -- comments that weren't exactly the urgent musings of a skipper in charge of a team in the middle of a tailspin. With under a month left in the season, are Nevin's days in Anaheim numbered? You can read his comments and more Angels news below!

Matt Wagner was born and raised in southern California, and he lived there before moving to Colorado and getting his B.A. in Communications from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 2022. He relocated back to southern California in 2023 and is looking forward to covering the teams that mean so much to his home area. Some of his past work is in Bleacher Report, Dodgers Tailgate, and, most recently, Colorado Buffaloes Wire. Aside from writing, you can probably catch him petting the nearest dog or eating some good Mexican food.
