The Astros (0-4) are still searching for their first win as they endured a four-game sweep at the hands of the New York Yankees, which ended on Sunday.
The Yankees won that last game of the series, 4-3.
The Astros were once again locked in a tight game with the Yankees on Sunday, as they were tied going into the ninth inning before the Yankees’ Juan Soto had an RBI single to give New York the lead.
In the bottom of the ninth Astros shortstop Jeremy Pena singled with no one out, followed by a Victor Caratini single. But they were stranded after Jose Altuve, Yordan Alvarez and Kyle Tucker all connected but failed to get a run across.
